[lammps-users] looking for feedback on windows installer packages

hi everybody (and particularly those of you, that use LAMMPS on windows),

we are about to fully automate the build of windows installer packages for LAMMPS so that whenever a patch or stable release is made, new packages will be created and made available for download.

so this is good moment to collect some feedback from those of you that are using them: please let us know, if there are any problems with the packages, if there is something missing, if you prefer both, the MPI and non-MPI executable in the same package (instead of having two installers) or if you have any other suggestions for changes.

as a reminder: beginning with the latest stable release,  11Aug2017, there are new installer packages available from a new webpage at packages.lammps.org

thanks in advance,
     axel.

p.s.: i should also point out, that those of you using windows 10, can also use LAMMPS binaries compiled for ubuntu linux natively on their windows machine. there is a tutorial in the LAMMPS webpage explaining how to enable this: http://lammps.sandia.gov/doc/tutorial_bash_on_windows.html
